An effective leader communicates that purpose clearly so that everyone understands it and, most importantly, envisions how to move toward it, fostering teamwork and synchronization. Beyond that, an inspiring leader seeks to align the corporate purpose with the personal purpose of employees.
Passion and personal purpose go hand in hand. Passion is what we love to do, something we would do without being paid. We do it well—perhaps as a result of practice, but perhaps more importantly, we do it because it excites us.
Our purpose is connected to one of our passions, but it is also something that people or the world need and are willing to reward us for.
When a leader successfully aligns personal purpose with corporate purpose, the impact is exponential. They create a team that not only does the work but also uses its full potential to achieve it.
